Forest Preserves of Cook County 2019 Fall Brochure

fpdcc.com Throughout Cook County, the Forest Preserves manages nearly 70,000 acres of land that are home to breathtaking ecosystems where countless plants and animals thrive. Volunteers are so important to the Forest Preserves’ successful restoration of our prairies, wetlands, savannas and woodlands, and contribute to the experience of enjoying the preserves in many other ways, as well. This season’s guide highlights how you too can join our volunteer programs. There’s no better introduction to volunteering than our weeklong Party for the Preserves celebration, which begins Saturday, Sept 21, and is also National CleanUp Day. The conclusion on Saturday, Sept 28 is National Public Lands Day. Watch for more information on the Forest Preserves’ website and social media. We hope you can join the party, and we hope to see you in the Preserves!
